Remodel Planning Tips

  1. Gather Inspiration
Before you start making plans, take the time to gather your inspiration. Browse Houzz, magazines, Pinterest, design blogs, showrooms, or the Parade of Homes for design ideas.

  2. Consider Your Lifestyle
Do you work from home? Do you entertain frequently or value your daily workout routine? Remodeling is the perfect opportunity to reimagine your spaces around your lifestyle and needs.

  3. Determine Your Budget
All projects begin and end with determining the scope of your budget. It’s always helpful to run the numbers and look into loans and financing before meeting with a contractor.

  4. Long-Term Goals
Do you plan on moving someday? Would you like to age in place? Whether considering upgrades with resale value or improvements that will serve you for the long haul, now is the time to set your priorities.

  5. Find the Right Team
Once you’re ready to make concrete plans, it’s essential to connect with the right remodeling team for you. Might we humbly suggest a familiar face? ;)

  6. Expect Surprises
The number one rule of remodeling? Expect to be surprised. Whether it’s material shortages, product delays, demo day revelations, or changes in plans - things happen, but an experienced team will help you navigate the bumps in the road.
