Mix & Match Wood Accents & Paint
Wood and paint pairings are a great way to add drama, texture, and warmth to a space. Don’t be afraid to mix and match different tones and styles. Each pairing offers a different look and can play up architectural features and styles in your home.
One of our favorite combos? Dark wood planks on the ceiling and light-painted walls. This pairing draws the eye upward and can make a space feel larger. We also love lighter wood accents with dark-painted cabinetry!
Bold Colors
Speaking of drama…While neutral colors will always be in style, there’s something to be said for boldly painted walls. Dark and moody blues and greens are popular shades for this home design trend, but it can be adapted to suit almost any color palette.
Not sure if you want to go all in on this trend? Try easing into it with an accent wall or furniture and decor in bold tones.
Ample Storage
2023 is all about ditching the clutter, starting with maximizing your storage creatively. Built-in cabinetry and bookshelves, spacious walk-in closets, mudroom or garage lockers, and cabinets with pullout shelves are all great ways to make the most of your space. An appliance garage or decked-out butler’s pantry are also excellent ways to keep kitchen clutter hidden but still functional.

After being cooped up at home, many homeowners are seeking ways to maximize their liveable space. For some, that means looking outside the house — and into the backyard! Outdoor living spaces like a deck, porch, or sunroom can be luxurious additions to the home.
